Team Wendy Umpire Mask Replacement Pads - Tan

Late on this review, but I purchased these pads back in 2019. As a former catcher, I've had a concussion twice and also as a basketball player. I knew I would spend to invest in protecting my head as an umpire. The DAY I swapped these in, I took a nasty 90 mph foul graze that I honestly never felt, but it shot my mask off. FF to this past 2022 season and I did take some mask shots but gladly avoided the concussion. The Team Wendy pads in my traditional mask have made a difference in absorbing impact and force. They're breathable and easily mold to your facial structure once it sets in on your face and slowly returns to full form shortly after you take it off. I will be purchasing the black set to give more even wear (as the tan tends to show some stains, but with careful hand washing, they do come out). Would like to see them partner for the hockey style mask as well.

I finally decided to try the Team Wendy's Mask Pads after 40 years of mostly using leather ones. I am really happy everything with them, the cover is comfortable on my face. I have not taken a shot yet, but feel confident they will protect as well as any pads will.

I received these pads as a gift of appreciation from a local Little League in my district. I took a shot from a foul ball of my brand new Wilson aluminum mask I bought from Ump-Attire.com. These pads took the impact so well I did not feel it. The fans in the stands gasped at the shot and both managers asked if I was alright. I informed them I didn't feel a thing and my mask and these pads are officially broke in with my seal of approval. Everyone got a good chuckle and the game commenced. I just bought my 2nd pair (tan) this season and I LOVE it. I am glad I made this switch. The look with my black umpire mask and the tan pads are a very nice match.

I bought the Team Wendy pads for my older Honig's mask. While the pads appear to be high quality and comfortable to wear, the bottom pad did not fit properly in my mask. The pad tended to slide up from the bottom corners of the mask causing a tight fit and covering my mouth. I'm sure these pads would work very well, just not on this particular mask.

Best pads available in my opinion. I switch out the black and tan pads on a regular basis. Team Wendy pads are worn on all my masks.

I love Team Wendy. I have had multiple sets. I will recommend them to anyone that needs a great mask pad. I have had multiple foul balls with Wendy pads and the effects are minimal. The tan ones look great against a black mask.

Purchased Team Wendy pads a few years ago and would never have anything else protecting me. Easy to install as a replacement. If you're working the plate, you want the best protection possible. Eventually, every umpire is going to take a shot in the mask; why not invest in the best?

I HIGHLY recommend Team Wendy umpire replacement mask pads. I have worn them for 6+ seasons. I make sure to replace my pads every other season to ensure proper protection. The Team Wendy pads are washable, lightweight, and very comfortable. Try them, and you will become a fan of these pads too.

Love the new replacement mask pads especially in hot sweaty days. Mask does not slide. Tan looks great, holds up to the inevitable thump.

I like the look of the tan pads. Bought these as replacements. Comfortable and a nice fit. Yet to be hit while wearing these so I hope the performance matches the look and feel.

I have been a Team Wendy Pads user since they came on the market, I have Two Umpire Masks and they both have the Wendy Pads on them. This product is second to none and I will not use another product period.

These replaced my old Wilson mask pads and I am mad I didn't get them earlier. They are comfortable and look great on any mask that allow this style of pad. I have heard that these pads seem to make my voice sound a little muffled, but I'm fine with that. It isn't that big of a difference.

These mask pads are awesome. I had black for the longest time, figured I'd try the tan. The only thing I don't like about the tan is it gets dirty and you'll have a dark spot from where you hold the mask by the end of the game. So far, I've had for 2 weeks, cleaned them, wiped them down after every game, and they still look new. Easy to clean.

Replaced stock pads, and used for 3 season's now, LOVE them. Taken shots to the mask, with no discomfort, startled yes, pain no. A MUST HAVE.

I work D1 non conf, conference D3 and I'm telling you this is the best umpire mask pads, PERIOD! They are rock hard when cold. I just put my mask inside the car as I drive to the game site. These are the only pads on my 3 umpire masks.

Can't say enough about these Team Wendy replacement pads. I will never work another dish without them. Tan for black dyna-lyte, black for charcoal dyna-lyte. Look great, feel great, be safe.

I would not buy these pads again. There is not as much shock absorption as there should be and I am feeling way too many hits. I have this combined with a Diamond ix3 frame, and while the frame is light, I shouldn't be feeling dizzy after every shot to the cage. They are comfortable though, and I do like how they don't smell. They do show dirt easy, I would get black next time. These are great for lower level ball, but I don't recommend for high school level and above.

They are really good replacement pads, I like them but however they can get dirty fast. And since it's tan, it really shows the dirt. But overall I like them, just keep in mind that dirt and tan don't go together.

The tan pads look professional but I have my doubts. First off, these pads are rock hard and I've worked 25+ games in them. I've put them through the washing machine etc and they still are hard. In game I got my bell rung on a 55+ year old game which I should've never felt. Secondly they attract dirt and needed to be washed after every game. Not too sure about these pads, maybe I got a defective set. Should've gone with black and Wilson.

Buying a new mask, you have to put Team Wendy Pads on them. I really question why it isn't an option from Ump-attire.com? Either way buy these for your mask. This company does great things for soldiers fighting, I think they can make a pad that can take a pitch. I recommend placing the lower chin pad sides a little lower on the side when attaching to the mask. Seems to make it a little more comfortable and protective for me.

These are the only pads that I trust to protect my face/head from injury. They look great, have superior protection, and wash in the machine. Team Wendy pads are the best on the market!

Best $40 dollars an umpire can spend. These are by far the best umpire mask pads on the market. Replace mine every year, the softness is great and comfortable.

Team Wendy pads get 5 stars from me. I have two Wilson Dyna-lite frames, and purchased the black Team Wendy pads this summer. I will never use another brand of pads. I umpire various levels of play including an two adult leagues with pitchers who have been in the minor leagues still chucking it up there at 90 mph and the foul balls have rung my bell in the past, but with the Team Wendy pads I didn't feel the pain like I have in the past. The black pads are a little hot in the sun in the summer months, so I bought the tan for the other frame to use for day games. The other plus, is that they are machine washable, and will maintain their shape after washing.

I will no longer wear a mask with the stock pads anymore after experiencing the superior protection, comfort, and durability of the Team Wendy pads. Besides the great protection they offer over any other type of pad on the market my favorite part is that they are washable. One cycle in the washer and let them air dry and they are like new! No other pad offers that. $40 is not a lot of money to spend in order to protect your head!

My son got me these replacement pads for Christmas and it was a great call. The Team Wendy pads are the most comfortable and safest pads on the market. I have taken several foul balls at 90+ and the impact of these pads versus others was less than half. A must for any umpire working higher level games.
